Services Dragonfly Framing offers
Dragonfly framming is a local picture framer based in Murdock Road, Bicester. Graham talked about the services offered to both private and commercial customers, summerised as follows:
eGift Cards - offered to customers, with any demonination, so that they can gift to family and / or friends. Available as a renewable plastic card to keep in a purse or wallet.
Fine Art Trade Guild, Certified Framer: Trained by the F.A.T.G. offering Conservation and Museum level framing standards as prescribed by the trade body.
Free Framing Consultations : These are available to book throughout the week (Mon-Fri) free of charge so that customers can determine all aspects of their framing projects and be assured of a great end product. Consultations aim to achive a marriage of art, the frame and environment it will be hanging in.
Memorabilia Framing: Preserving all type of memorabilia, from sport shirts to medals and all things inbetween. Core to this type of framing is keeping memorabilia together, preserving and presenting items in a bespoke designed frame for future generations to enjoy.
Creative Mount Cutting: With the use of a CNC mount cutter, Graham can produce multi-window, vector shapes, multi layered and decorative designs. Offering bulk 'cut to size' mount cutting for artists and shops in a range of colours and qualities.
Specialist Glazing: Dragonfly framing offer four key glass types that suite most applications, which are: 2mm Float Glass, UV99 protection, UV70/Anti-Reflective, & UV99/AR. A variety of acrylics are also available should they be required. Glazing choices are made using the 4 levels of framing, Museum, Conservation, Commended & Basic with visual impact also taken into consideration.
Canvas Stretching: A besoke service to add premium quality stretcher bars to canvas's up to 1.8m. Additional tray frames or tradition style frames can also be added to bring canvases to life.
Textiles and Embroibery: Dragonfly Framing work closely with many local crafters to frame and present work at its best, they understand the time it takes to create these and take care to use textile techniques such as lacing to ensure the highest quality results. No glues of adhesives are use in this process.
Frame Refurbishment - Frames are opened, glass, cleaned / replaced or upgraded, mounts re-cut where appropriate, sealed and finished ready for an extended life. Folllowing a review of the frame content other conservation methods can be applied to help preserve artworks. Graham also cuts glass for replacements where frames have fallen.
