More than one in 100 people are on the autism spectrum and there are around 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK.
It is quite possible that a member of your family, a work colleague or a friend could have been diagnosed as ADHD, autistic or similar. Both children and adults need a little understanding if they are going to function in the community and achieve their potential for themselves or their employer.

This promises to be a very informative talk by Founder Tim Parkhouse of Get Fed Coffee CIC
Get Fed is a new way of working with young people at risk of exclusion and exploitation. We all know people who’ve struggled in school - maybe you were that child or you’re currently trying to support one?As a Youth Worker I’ve supported many young people who just don’t fit and by the time they’re teenagers they’ve learned a hard, hard lesson - they’re not going to get those 5 GCSE’s and progress nicely; they might be missing school completely and feeling quite desperate. This is where the drug dealers step in and recruit vulnerable kids into ‘working’ for them. It’s rife and it’s hella risky.Fed up with the system that creates more and more of these scary stories it is time to hit back and offer young people a creative, intensive shot at running their own business - safely and legally. Selling coffee instead of crack; caffeine instead of cocaine. The young entrepreneurs learn barista and business skills over 12 sessions and organise their own gig where they can sell drinks and make 50% of the profits! It’s going to be a new start for some young people who thought their lives were over and we’re going to discover some young business geniuses and give them a boost towards their truest selves. With £10k of corporate sponsorship we bought our cheeky little Piaggio tuk tuk, custom-fitted with chrome-plated Fracino steam machine. So chic!!Ready to train up young baristas and come to an event near you!
